The Amigos de la Vida Foundation (AMI) is an organization that contributes to the creation of respectful conditions for the vital processes of human development. We emphasize both the child's ability to develop him or herself and in the ability of adults to change their attitudes and give children an opportunity to achieve a solid foundation in life. We offer society a concrete referent of proper treatment to the child in everyday life—a reflection and contribution to research on early childhood. AMI's main activity is the management and maintenance of the project "Nuestro Hogar".
Nuestro Hogar is a carefully equipped home, accommodating children ages 0 to 4, who have been abandoned or abused, who are orphans, and who have different abilities. This is a calm, safe environment where they are respected, accepted, and loved.
Another activity of the foundation is the child's reintegration into his family and society.
At Nuestro Hogar, we have a real interest in the welfare of children. We are also constantly educating ourselves to better understand and respond to the child with affection. We take into account their own pace, feelings, likes, and needs at every stage of their growth.
